Pandemic: The Cure is a family favorite and we’ve taken it on vacation a couple times.\u00a0 While you can technically fit everything in the draw bag, the fit is tight and cards can get bent, etc.\u00a0 So, here are two versions of a box and inserts that completely replace the regular cardboard game box.\u00a0 The nice thing is that inserts are compatible between the two versions, so the smaller version will hold the base game and some of the same pieces can be moved over to the larger box when you have the Experimental Meds expansion.<\/p>\n

The Traveling Med Kit<\/a> version (shown in white with blue lettering on the lid) has a single player piece tray that fits in the bottom along with the base game dice.\u00a0 On top is a board insert that holds all the board pieces, as well as spaces for four of the base game dice that couldn’t quite fit in the bottom with the rest of the dice.\u00a0 Due to some sizing differences, the top board insert leaves a relatively small gap on one end, which can be filled in with the end of the draw bag (shown in the bottom left picture below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to carry the Experimental Meds expansion along with the base game, you can get the Traveling Med Kit XL<\/a> shown below, that is taller in order to hold an additional dice tray and the complete set of dice for both games in the bottom, and then the same board insert.\u00a0 Since the bottom is big enough to hold the dice for both the base and the expansion, the two boxes in the top tray board insert can be left empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
