This board game insert for Century: Spice Road features:
- Four color coded spice trays have sculpted bottoms for easy removal of spice.
- A coin box that holds the coins in pairs, since you always set out pairs based on the number of players.
- Support for sleeved cards – I used the Fantasy Flight Games sleeves – Tarot – Orange (FFS66, 50/pack) – (2-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ – [70 x 120mm]), but the box will work fine with unsleeved cards. With unsleeved cards, there will be a little extra room in the bottom, card storage area, just back fill with foam or cardboard if that is an issue.
- Lettering on the lid is durable Oracal 651 vinyl
This travel box is significantly smaller / more compact (approximately 5 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 2 1/4″) than the original game box (approximately 10 3/4″ x 7 1/2″ x 2 1/2″), . This travel box is less than half the size of the original game box.
To top everything off, I recommend printing the rules summary card, available at BoardGameGeek. Since it is the same size as a spice card, it fits perfectly, and you’ll always have a summary available when you travel.
NOTE At this point I cannot tell if this is compatible with the Golem version since I don’t have access to a copy of that game. The only area of potential issue is the size of the crystals compared to the spice cubes.
NOTE
Games pieces shown in the photos are for reference only. The buyer is expected to provide their own game pieces.
Hot Car Warning
These inserts are printed in plastic, and like children, pets, and wine, a hot car can be detrimental to their health. Please do not leave your insert in a hot car. Components of the insert could warp or deform.

Puts my game in a very small box! Bit of a shame to give up the spice bowls, but the space it saves is worth it, and it looks great!
