New Release – Can You Hear Me Now? – Our Board Game Insert for Smartphone Inc.

When our Smartphone Inc Kickstarter arrived, we very quickly realized that we had to make an insert.  Great game, but has a ton of different pieces, and we wanted to take a crack at re-imagining the original player trays.  So, here you go.  Can You Hear Me Now? currently comes in two different versions targeting the 2020 Kickstarter version.

  • Can You Hear Me Now? – KS-Basic – This version retains the original clear plastic player trays and the accessory tray.  Inserts are provided for holding all the remaining bits, either alongside the two boards in the bottom, or above the player trays.  Additionally, a “Tray Lifter” is provided to help make it easier to remove the first player tray.  You can find additional information on using this version, along with some special guidance on packing the box to ensure no component migrations by checking out our KS-Basic Tips and Tricks page.
  • Can You Hear me Now? – KS-Deluxe – This includes all the storage trays from the Basic version, but goes further by replacing the original 5 player trays and the accessory tray.  Each player tray has been designed to hold the CEO, as well as the associated starter improvement for the corresponding color.   You can find additional information on using this insert on our KS-Deluxe Tips and Tricks page.

The common storage trays across both versions are color coded to assist with setup.  White trays hold pieces for the basic game and light blue trays hold pieces for the expansion.  If you are only playing the basic game, you can leave the blue trays in the box or set them to the side.

A Note about Kickstarter vs Retail Versions

These inserts were designed for the 2020 Kickstarter version of Smartphone Inc. We are still waiting to see what the retail version is going to contain. We do know that there will be a fair number of components that are unique the Kickstarter version and consequently will require some level of modification to create a retail compatible version.
