New Release – Solar Barque XL – Board Game Insert for 25th Century Games edition of Ra and Traders Expansion

Hot on the heels of receiving our Traders expansion from the latest Kickstarter, we’ve done some redesign and new design to squeeze the Traders expansion components into the box along with everything else!

As a recap, Ra, by Reiner Knizia, is one of the all-time great bidding games and Knizia games as well. 

Solar Barque XL is our treatment of the Pharaoh’s Edition of Ra (with wooden tiles) PLUS the Traders expansion.  The box is a bit on the huge side, and most of that is taken up with the giant bag of auction tiles, which gets even bulkier when you add the additional trader tiles.  In order to make room for the expansion crates and the additional boards, we went through and slimmed down the existing trays while still keeping their original length and height.  The new crates tray comes complete with a removable cover and has a default color of dark blue to match the score token trays and signify it can be deployed straight to the table for play. The traders boards are stored in the box as well.

While you may have to do a bit of “massaging” of the tile bag, once the game box is loaded, it can be stored horizontally or vertically with no displacement of the playing pieces, nor lid lift.

Additionally, this new version works perfectly fine with just the base game Pharaoh’s Edition.  You’ll just have an empty crates tray at the bottom of the box.
