New Release – Gate B53 for 2nd Edition Now Boarding

The 2nd edition of Now Boarding introduced a small twist, in that the game board is significantly bigger, and consequently the box is a good bit taller.  That caused some head scratching here at Store All The Bits central while we figured out what we had to do to modify the original insert to support the new height.

We settled on lowering the wells for the sand timers which worked fine for the overall packing, but the geometry of the folded board was such that you had to load the rule book and other cards first, in order to keep pieces from floating around.  The cascading effect of that was it was difficult to get those same things out when setting up.  Introduce the “Corner Lifter”, which goes in the empty well and gives you a convenient “hook” to pull up the corner of the rule book / cards when you are setting up.
