Store All The Bits is happy to introduce you to our newest board game insert Karve, available now available in our shop.
This insert is designed to store all the components for both Explorers of the North Sea as well as the Rocks of Ruin expansion (including the runesaga bits) within the original profile of the Explorers box.
Now your viking hordes and their pigs, chickens, cows, and all other accouterments can be safely stored away between games and will keep their place even when stored on its side. No longer will you open the box to see cows living with sheep, and horses cavorting with pigs, while enemy ships build blockades around fortresses and settlements.
This set of inserts features the following:
- Captains and Scorepad Tray – This piece holds both scorepads, all the captains cards, as well as the first player marker and the small bits from the Runsaga expansion.
- Tile Tray / Settlements and Enemy Ships box / Rocks of Ruin components box – The tile tray holds the combined collection of tiles from both the base game and the expansion. The Settlements and Enemy ships box holds components from the base game, and the Rocks of Ruin component box holds the fortresses and salvage tokens.
- Livestock pen and lid – This piece has individual compartments for the 6 different kinds of livestock so they are always sorted and ready to play when you take them out of the box. During play the base can be set inside the lid at an angle for ease of access from the table.
- Player boxes – 5 player boxes are provided to hold the complete set of pieces for each player. Just hand out the boxes and the players are ready to start loading their dashboards.
The fit is quite compact and our tests of turning the box in all directions, and storing it on its side revealed no slippage of components. If you hear things clunking around, those are the Runesaga boards that free float next to the dashboards.
Further details on how to pack the box as well as tips for how to use the insert if you only have the base game, can be found on the Karve Tips and Tricks page.
